John Mayer on DVD

I’ve just seen one of the most amazing music DVD’s I’ve seen in a long time.  If you haven’t checked out John Mayer’s concert DVD “Where The Light Is“, you need to do it.  It an amazing performance by John and all of his band mates.  The DVD starts out with an acoustic set that has a great version of Tom Petty’s Free Fallin’.  The second set is with the John Mayer Trio and it’s nothing short of amazing.  I could watch Steve Jordan all day!!!  Then finally, a set with John’s regular band.  J.J. Johnson tears it up during this set, keeping a solid groove and adding his own flavor at all the appropriate times. Sheer joy to watch him!  

I also love everything John does, his playing doesn’t get old thru out the entire DVD.  And he graciously lets a lot of his band mates get a piece the entire night.  He has some amazing players on here.  Truly inspiring guitar tones on this disc.
